I’m Jenni, Head Instructor at Prana Endura. My goal is to empower other people to achieve their wellness goals, not only as a Certified Massage Therapist and Registered Yoga Instructor working and collaborating with other healthcare professionals in the Chico area, but also as an Anthropologist with an interest in wellness and healing practices.
I specialize in therapeutic bodywork, including Ashiatsu, or massage with my feet. My passion is helping people acquire quality healthcare that is in harmony with their cultural and personal beliefs, and that all people deserve good health and good medical care regardless of income, gender, culture, sexual orientation, religion, or any other socioeconomic factor.
My personal philosophy is that massage is an inherently spiritual act. It offers a person an opportunity to get to know his or her own body and needs in greater detail, to learn to trust another person as caretaker, and learn to let go and relax. However, massage is definitely not just spiritual. I am constantly gratified by how much research continues to verify and support the practice as a viable and legitimate alternative to many drugs and surgeries. Research shows that the simple act of touching and being touched has long-term, profound health benefits including mood alleviation, overall longevity, and heightened cognitive functionality, as well as incredible relief for conditions like sciatica, plantar fasciitis, chronic shin splints, and migraine headaches.
